The “MOVE MASTER” has been launched at 1982, as a table-top personal robot for education, research and hobby. Its first series “RM-101” was a novel original robot that could be controlled by a personal computer through a centronics printer cable. The “MOVE MASTER” was widely exported to the world because it was affordable and was easy to use. In addition, small-sized FA robots like "MOVE MASTER" was limelight in its era. Mitsubishi Electric has developed robot series named "RM-501","RV-M1" and "RV-M2" which was upgraded edition from the former ones, used DC servo motors. "MOVE MASTER" became the best-selling robot and its total sales was over 20 thousand robots. The “MOVE MASTER” series had a special features customized to users in education and research field. First, it had the design of appearance has the concept "vitally soft," for human friendly design. Secondly, it had a real-time control command system for researchers, which communicates by high speed Ethernet connection between personal computers and robots.
