Call for Robots: ICRA Expo 2024
The International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) 2024 is thrilled to introduce a groundbreaking opportunity for researchers and innovators in the field of robotics ? the ICRA Expo! Commencing in 2024, ICRA Expo provides a unique platform for showcasing your cutting-edge robotic research through live demonstrations at Pacifico Yokohama.
Key Features of ICRA Expo:
*Inclusive Opportunity*
ICRA Expo is open to everyone. Whether or not your paper has been accepted, this is your chance to shine in the world of robotics. If your paper has been accepted for ICRA 2024, be sure to include the paper ID in your submission.
*Demo Spaces*
Secure your space at ICRA Expo to present live demonstrations of your robots or robotic systems. Each Expo space is equipped with AC power plugs (110v), a table, and a board for displaying an A0 poster. There will be three different space sizes (Small: 2x2m, Medium: 4x4m, Large: 6x6m) to choose from based on your needs. Final sizes might be subject to change depending on number of submissions and availability.
*Robot Travel Grant*
Applicants submitting demos can apply for a travel grant to support the transportation and logistics of bringing their robots to ICRA Expo in Japan.
*Outstanding Demo Award*
Stand a chance to be recognized for your outstanding robotic innovation! We will have an Outstanding Demo Award, and a selection committee will evaluate and honor the most exceptional demonstrations.
*Timeline*
PaperPlaza is open for demo submissions since February 14th, 2024. The deadline is March 14th, 2024. Acceptance notifications will be sent in two waves: March 6th, 2024 (for submissions until March 4th, so that contributors can register using Early Bird discount) and March 31st, 2024. Ensure you don't miss this opportunity to be part of ICRA Expo 2024.
*Registration*
A full registration (with paper) to ICRA is required to participate in ICRA Expo. Regular full registration includes submissions for up to two items from these categories: paper, late-breaking submission, ICRA Expo, stand-alone video. Student registration includes one item of the same categories.
How to Submit:
1. Prepare Your Demo: Get your robot or robotic system ready for an impressive live demonstration.
2. Create an Abstract: Craft a concise abstract that encapsulates the essence of your robotic innovation and your demo.
3. Capture a Short Video: Showcase the capabilities of your robot through a brief video (mp4 format) to accompany your abstract, with a maximum size of 20mb and a maximum duration of 180 s.
4. Visit PaperPlaza: Head to PaperPlaza (https://ras.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl) and submit your demo's abstract and video before the submission deadline on March 14th, 2024.
